Gold Quest is a simple multi-user co-op text based dungeon quest game with multiple client options.
The object of Gold Quest is to collect as much gold as possible while traversing a dungeon filled with monsters. All players control the same hero and will see the results of the actions by all other players.
Currently all players on all sites will play the same hero, but there are plans to allow site owners to authenticate and create their own hero. This would allow for co-op within the site and friendly rivalry between sites.
For Android users there is also a downloadable app to easily play the game.
Gold Quest can be played in several different ways, described on this page.
The game engine behind Gold Quest is called GoldFrame and allows for multiple different games to be run. Currently there are two simple games, Gold Quest and Assassin's Greed, but more are planned.
Jx Development has finally been upgraded to Joomla 1.5! It's taken some time since I've had to upgrade some of my custom extensions to work natively. I will try to release these extensions as well. Although new versions of Jobline are more important.
I've also switched the forum to Kunena and moved to JComments as the comment system. Hopefully this will fix problems with spamming, or at least make it easier to install protection later on if needed.
The site upgrade has been the biggest hurdle stopping releases of my open source projects. I will probably also add information about all my other open source projects, not just Joomla.
If I can find the time, I'll try to structure the information a bit better in the future. To make things easier to find and understand.
Jx List Files v1.3 has been released containing several new changes:
A native Joomla 1.5 module to list the files of a directory on your web server.
The new version uses the new Woopra API and adds avatar support, with integration with systems like Community Builder, JFusion, Kunena (untested), JomSocial (untested), and some Gravatar default generated avatars like Monsterid, Identicon and Wavatar. There has also been a few more options added.
Publish the module in the debug or footer module position and enter your Woopra ID in the parameters. You also have the option to track user information with this module. This way, if visitors are logged in, their username, email and avatar will show up in the Woopra statistics! You also have the ability to disallow tracking of logged in admins, as well as a few other options.
A minor patch release for Jobline v1.1.3 has been released. It contains fixes for a possible security hole, so everyone running Jobline should upgrade.
The release also includes an updated French translation, extended by Rob Mills and Mel Nahum, and Catalan translation by Edu Richard.
